Aaron Rowe Is ‘Electric,’ Mizzou Basketball Coach Dennis Gates Says
Mizzou basketball coach Dennis Gates is excited about the future of his program, and one of the main reasons for his optimism is the addition of Aaron Rowe.
Rowe, a 6-foot-5 guard from Chicago, is a four-star recruit who is ranked among the top 100 players in the country. He is a dynamic scorer and playmaker who can create his own shot and make plays for others.
Gates said he was impressed with Rowe’s athleticism and skillset when he saw him play in person. He said Rowe is a “special player” who has the potential to be a star at Mizzou.
“He’s electric,” Gates said. “He’s got a great feel for the game and he can score in a variety of ways. He’s also a willing passer and he makes his teammates better.”
Rowe is expected to play a major role for Mizzou next season. He will be counted on to provide scoring and playmaking, and he will also be expected to defend at a high level.
Gates said he is confident that Rowe is ready for the challenge. He said Rowe is a hard worker and he is eager to learn.
“He’s a great kid and he’s a great player,” Gates said. “I’m excited to see what he can do in a Mizzou uniform.”
Rowe is one of several talented recruits that Gates has added to Mizzou’s roster in recent months. Gates is building a team that he hopes can compete for a national championship.
“We’re excited about the future of Mizzou basketball,” Gates said. “We’ve got a lot of talented players and we’re building a team that can compete at the highest level.”
