Hurts powers Philadelphia past New York Giants, 48-22

The Philadelphia Eagles improved to 12-1 on the season with a dominant 48-22 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday. Jalen Hurts threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 77 yards and another score.
DeVonta Smith led the Eagles with 169 receiving yards on six catches, including a 41-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Dallas Goedert added 102 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches.
The Eagles' defense also played a key role in the win, forcing three turnovers and sacking Daniel Jones four times. Darius Slay had two interceptions, while Haason Reddick had two sacks.
The Giants fell to 8-5 with the loss. Daniel Jones threw for 240 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw two interceptions.
The Eagles took an early lead in the game, driving 76 yards on their opening possession. Hurts capped off the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run.
The Giants responded with a field goal on their next possession, but the Eagles extended their lead to 14-3 with a 41-yard touchdown pass from Hurts to Smith in the second quarter.
The Giants cut the lead to 14-10 with a touchdown pass from Jones to Darius Slayton late in the second quarter, but the Eagles took a 21-10 lead into halftime after a 46-yard field goal from Jake Elliott.
The Eagles extended their lead to 28-10 with a 1-yard touchdown run from Miles Sanders in the third quarter. The Giants responded with a field goal, but the Eagles put the game away with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Hurts to Goedert in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles will host the Chicago Bears next Sunday, while the Giants will host the Washington Commanders.
