Commanders' 2023 schedule released
Washington will open the season at home against the Panthers
The Commanders will face a tough test in Week 1 when they host the Carolina Panthers. Carolina went 6-11 last season, but they have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Sam Darnold is coming off a solid season, and he has a lot of weapons to work with, including Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, and Robbie Anderson. The Panthers' defense is also solid, led by Brian Burns and Jeremy Chinn.
The Commanders will need to be at their best to beat the Panthers in Week 1. Washington went 7-10 last season, but they have a lot of new faces on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Carson Wentz is coming off a disappointing season with the Colts, but he has a lot of experience and he is looking to prove himself in Washington. The Commanders also have a lot of talent on defense, led by Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, and Kendall Fuller.
The Commanders' schedule is not easy, but it is not impossible. Washington will have a chance to win a lot of games this season, but they will need to be consistent and they will need to stay healthy. If the Commanders can do those things, they have a chance to make a run at the playoffs.
