Eagles 26, Commanders 18: Saquon Barkley's 2 TDs in 4th quarter overcome missed FGs
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley rushed for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lead the Giants to a 26-18 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
The Giants trailed 18-13 entering the fourth quarter, but Barkley's two touchdowns gave the Giants the lead for good. Barkley's first touchdown came on a 1-yard run with 11:46 remaining in the game. His second touchdown came on a 6-yard run with 2:43 remaining in the game.
The Giants' victory was their second in a row and improved their record to 5-1. The Commanders fell to 1-5 with the loss.
Barkley finished the game with 22 carries for 102 yards and the two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 16 yards.
The Giants' defense also played a key role in the victory. The Giants held the Commanders to just 281 yards of total offense and forced three turnovers.
The Giants will host the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday. The Commanders will host the Tennessee Titans next Sunday.
