Eagles Men's Basketball Preview
Returning Players
The Eagles return four starters from last year's team, including All-RMAC First Team selection senior forward Riley Corcoran. Corcoran averaged 16.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last season.
Also returning are senior guard Dancell Leter, senior forward Joonas Suotamo, and junior guard Jack Kline. Leter averaged 10.8 points per game last season, while Suotamo averaged 8.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Kline averaged 8.2 points per game.
Newcomers
The Eagles welcome several newcomers to the team this season, including junior college transfer guard Tyree Harrison and freshman forward Zach Pirog. Harrison was a First Team All-Conference selection at Hutchinson Community College last season, while Pirog was a McDonald's All-American nominee at Grandview High School.
Other newcomers include freshman guard Josiah Barsh and freshman forward David Crisp. Barsh was a Class 4A All-State selection at Broomfield High School last season, while Crisp was a Class 5A All-State selection at Overland High School.
Schedule
The Eagles open the season on November 11th at home against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. They will then play three more non-conference games before opening RMAC play on December 2nd at home against Colorado Mesa University.
The Eagles will play 16 RMAC games this season, including eight home games. They will also play two non-conference games against Division I opponents, including a game at the University of Northern Colorado on December 17th.
Outlook
The Eagles are expected to be one of the top teams in the RMAC this season. They have a strong returning core of players, and they have added several talented newcomers. The Eagles are also playing a challenging schedule, which will help them prepare for the RMAC Tournament.
