South Carolina Continues Dominance, Coppin State Falls

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Aliyah Boston recorded her 78th career double-double as No. 1 South Carolina extended the nation's longest winning streak to 41 games with a 92-60 victory over Coppin State on Tuesday night.

Boston, the reigning national player of the year, finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Zia Cooke added 14 points for the Gamecocks (11-0), while Brea Beal scored 13.

Coppin State (2-6) was led by Jalynda Salley's 15 points. The Eagles shot just 34.8% from the field, while South Carolina shot 54.7%.

Gamecocks' Defense Stifles Coppin State

South Carolina's defense held Coppin State to just 25.9% shooting in the first half, and the Gamecocks built a 45-25 lead by halftime.

The Gamecocks continued to dominate in the second half, holding Coppin State to 38.9% shooting while forcing 15 turnovers.

Fulwiley, Kitts Impress in Starting Roles

With Boston drawing double and triple teams, freshmen Raven Johnson and Sania Feagin had big nights for South Carolina.

Johnson finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds, while Feagin added 10 points and 6 rebounds.

South Carolina Continues Historic Run

The Gamecocks' 41-game winning streak is the longest in women's college basketball since Connecticut won 111 straight games from 2014 to 2017.

South Carolina has not lost a game since falling to Louisville in the 2022 NCAA Tournament semifinals.
