Kyrie Irving Out, Quentin Grimes Tapped to Start in Utah

Eddie Sefko reports that Kyrie Irving is out for the Mavericks tonight in Utah.

The Dallas Mavericks will be without Kyrie Irving for their game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, as the star point guard is dealing with a right calf strain. The Mavericks will have to make do without one of their best players, especially while they are playing in the rugged Western Conference.

In the absence of Irving, Quentin Grimes is expected to get the start.

Grimes has been a solid contributor for the Mavericks this season, averaging 9.5 points per game while shooting 42.3% from the field and 34.6% from three-point range. He'll take on a bigger role with Irving out and will need to step up against the Jazz.
