Kyrie Irving to Miss Game Against Jazz Due to Shoulder Injury
Irving suffered the injury during Wednesday's practice
The Nets star is expected to miss multiple games
Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving will miss Thursday's game against the Utah Jazz due to a strained right shoulder, the team announced.
Irving suffered the injury during Wednesday's practice and is expected to miss multiple games.
The Nets are already without Kevin Durant, who is out with a sprained MCL, so Irving's absence is a major blow to the team's chances of winning.
Irving is averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season.
The Nets are 10-11 this season and are currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
The Jazz are 12-9 this season and are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference.
The Nets will host the Jazz at Barclays Center on Thursday night.
The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
