Tigers rally from early deficit to earn 75-64 victory
The LSU basketball team rallied from an early deficit to earn a 75-64 victory over Alabama State on Wednesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers (2-0) trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half, but they chipped away at the lead and eventually took the lead for good with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game.
LSU was led by Darius Days, who had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Tari Eason added 17 points, while Brandon Murray chipped in with 15 points.
Hornsby's hot shooting leads Tigers
Alex Hornsby provided a spark for the Tigers off the bench, scoring 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.
Hornsby's shooting helped LSU stretch its lead to as many as 13 points in the second half.
Tigers defense tightens up in second half
The Tigers' defense was much better in the second half, holding Alabama State to just 28.6% shooting from the field.
LSU also forced 15 turnovers in the game, which led to 18 points for the Tigers.

The Tigers will be back in action on Sunday when they host Lipscomb at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
