Men’s Basketball Signs Aaron Rowe
Las Cruces, N.M. –
NM State men's basketball announced the signing of Aaron Rowe, a 6-foot-1 guard from Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas Monday. Rowe, who is originally from Rialto, Calif., is set to join the Aggies in the 2023-24 season.
Athleticism and Skill
Rowe is a high-flying guard who adds athleticism and skill to the Aggie backcourt. Along with his impressive physical abilities, Rowe is also a gifted shooter with good court vision and an ability to get to the basket. He averaged 12.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.4 steals per game for Sunrise Christian Academy last season.
Rowe's athleticism and skill set make him a perfect fit for the Aggies' up-tempo style of play. He's the kind of player who can get to the rim, create for others, and knock down shots from deep.
Coachability and Character
In addition to his athletic ability, Rowe is also a highly coachable player. He's eager to learn and improve and has a great attitude. He's also a good teammate and will be a welcome addition to the Aggie locker room.
"I'm really excited to add Aaron to our program," said Aggie head coach Chris Jans. "He's a talented player who has a bright future. I think he has the potential to be a special player for us. He's a hard worker, a good teammate, and I think he's going to fit in really well with our system."
Rowe is the second signee for the Aggies in the 2023 class, joining 6-foot-9 forward Donovan Dent. He will be eligible to play for the Aggies in the 2023-24 season.
