Now That Cobra Kai Is Ready To Introduce The Iron Dragons, Yuji Okumoto Tells Us What Fans Can Expect From The Show's 'Biggest Threat'
Chozen Toguchi's Return
The upcoming season of Cobra Kai will feature the return of Chozen Toguchi, a character from The Karate Kid Part II. Chozen was played by Yuji Okumoto in the film, and he will reprise his role in the television series. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Okumoto teased what fans can expect from Chozen's return.
"Chozen is back, and he's not the same guy he was in The Karate Kid Part II," Okumoto said. "He's older, wiser, and more powerful than ever before. He's also still a master of karate, and he's ready to use his skills to help Daniel and Johnny defeat Cobra Kai."
The Iron Dragons
In addition to Chozen's return, the upcoming season of Cobra Kai will also introduce a new group of villains called the Iron Dragons. The Iron Dragons are a group of elite martial artists who are led by a mysterious sensei named Terry Silver. Silver is played by Thomas Ian Griffith, who also played the character in The Karate Kid Part III.
Okumoto said that the Iron Dragons are "the biggest threat that Daniel and Johnny have ever faced." He also said that the Iron Dragons are "more skilled and more ruthless" than Cobra Kai.
What to Expect
Okumoto said that fans can expect "a lot of action" in the upcoming season of Cobra Kai. He also said that the season will be "full of surprises." Fans can also expect to see Chozen and Daniel team up to take on the Iron Dragons.
"Chozen and Daniel have a long history together," Okumoto said. "They've been through a lot together, and they trust each other implicitly. They're going to need to work together if they're going to defeat the Iron Dragons."
The upcoming season of Cobra Kai is set to premiere on Netflix on September 9th.
