Pulisic provides assist in USA win, France held
USA Remains Unbeaten In CONCACAF Nations League
Christian Pulisic provided an assist in the USA’s 3-0 win over Morocco in a friendly match on Wednesday in Cincinnati. The victory keeps the USA unbeaten in the CONCACAF Nations League and moves them to the top of the table in Group A. Pulisic’s assist came on the opening goal of the match, which was scored by Brenden Aaronson in the 26th minute.
The USA controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting Morocco 15-4 and having 60% of the possession. Pulisic was a constant threat down the left flank and created several dangerous chances for his teammates.
The win is a boost for the USA ahead of their next two CONCACAF Nations League matches against Grenada and El Salvador. The USA will need to win both of those matches to secure a spot in the final four of the tournament.
France Held By Croatia
France was held to a 1-1 draw by Croatia in a friendly match on Wednesday in Split. Antoine Griezmann gave France the lead in the 18th minute, but Luka Modric equalized for Croatia just before halftime.
France controlled the match for long periods, but they were unable to find a winning goal. Kylian Mbappe had a chance to win it in the dying minutes, but his shot was saved by Dominik Livakovic.
The draw is a disappointing result for France, who are preparing for the World Cup in Qatar later this year. However, it is still early in their preparations, and they will be hoping to improve their form in the coming months.
