“Eric is a highly respected pitching coach with a proven track record of success,” Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen said. “He has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and we are excited to have him join our staff.”Marte Wins Silver Slugger
Diamondbacks outfielder Ketel Marte has won the Silver Slugger Award for the 2022 season. Marte, 29, is the first Diamondbacks player to win a Silver Slugger Award since Paul Goldschmidt in 2015.
Marte hit .311 with 14 home runs and 93 RBIs in 162 games this season. He also stole 30 bases, making him the first player in Diamondbacks history to hit 30 homers and steal 30 bases in the same season.
“Ketel had an incredible season,” Hazen said. “He was one of the most productive players in the National League, and we are thrilled that he has been recognized with this award.”
