TBI says none of the 32 Venezuelans arrested in Tennessee had connection to terrorism
22 illegal immigrants were part of a human smuggling operation, 10 were involved in drug trafficking

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said none of the 32 Venezuelans arrested in Tennessee in recent weeks had any connection to terrorism.
The TBI said 22 of the Venezuelans were part of a human smuggling operation and 10 were involved in drug trafficking.
The Venezuelans were arrested in Knoxville and Nashville.
The TBI said the arrests were the result of a month-long investigation.
The TBI said it is working with federal authorities to investigate the human smuggling and drug trafficking operations.
The TBI said it is also working with the Venezuelan government to identify and deport the Venezuelans who were arrested.
