Reggae Boyz assistant coach excited ahead of return to National Stadium for friendly international with Saudi Arabia
Theodore Whitmore's assistant, who played 138 times for the Boyz, is looking forward to witnessing the reception the team will receive from their home fans.
Theodore Whitmore's assistant, Robbie Earle, says the team is eagerly anticipating their return to the National Stadium and expects a warm reception from the Jamaican fans.
The Reggae Boyz will face Saudi Arabia in a friendly international on November 14, their first match at the venue since March 2020.
Bailey, who won 138 caps for Jamaica during his playing career, believes the match will be a special occasion for the team and the fans.
"It's always great to play at home," Bailey said. "The fans are always behind us, and they create a great atmosphere."
Bailey added that the team is well-prepared for the match and is confident of a good result.
"We've been training hard, and we're ready to go," Bailey said. "We know Saudi Arabia is a good team, but we're confident that we can beat them."
The match against Saudi Arabia will be the Reggae Boyz's first match since their 2-0 friendly loss to Qatar in March.
The team is currently preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will begin in June 2021.
